Interesting! I suspect some will question his drawing out anti-big government ideas from the text considering how wide-reaching jubilee was (that is, arguably it is hard to transfer the OT ideas one way or another into the framework of our time; I suspect an agenda when I see such). Women do not seem to be in the forefront of this book if this review is any indication. That is natural, since it would be impossible to make a case that OT egalitarianism extended to them, although generally the laws could be argued to be far more considerate of them than in surrounding nations (therefore, the redemptive trajectory hermeneutic arguments).
