Welcome, and thanks for walking through the woods with us, together!  Seeing the dignity of Christ in your wife is a good basis for an egalitarian understanding of things.  Don't let anyone or anything erode that!

Hi Boidae! :bluewave: One thing that should comfort you, is the worst name they could come up with for you was,"White Knight?" I mean, if that's the best they can do, then I'd say you are in a good place! The men really do get bullied by the other men just as much, if not more than the women do. I hope you can get some good fellowship and support here. A toast! :celebrate:

So.... I just wanted to say that I love your posts in the "Is this a dealbreaker" thread over at CF.

I can't tell you over there because I'm currently serving a ban.  (It's very, very difficult for me not to be mocking and sarcastic with the MRAs over there).

The "Men's Rights Movement" (MRM) is very frightening.

And, believe it or not, there are men who claim to be Christian who espouse the MRM.

There are a few men who, while I doubt most would claim membership in the movement, are definitely sympathetic - visiting and posting on MRA websites - who have kind of taken over the "Married Couples" section of www.christianforums.com.

They think women shouldn't "be allowed" to vote.
They think women shouldn't "be allowed" to file for "no-fault" divorce.  That there should be economic or social consequences (such as not getting child support) for any divorce not on "Biblical" grounds (i.e. adultery).
They think that men wouldn't view porn if their wives were putting out more.  Some of them think porn is okay, anyway.
They're VERY BIG on the "man is the head of the household" and "husband as spiritual leader" and "women submit" stuff.  Some of them even go so far as to say that they can tell their wives what to believe and the wife should allow herself to be taught by her husband (but not vice versa).

It's really scary stuff.
