P46: The oldest manuscript of Paul’s Letters leaves out the word submit in Ephesians 5:22. This means that Ephesians 5:22 is a continuation of the thought in verse 21, and thus the type of submission required of wives in verse 22 is the same type of submission asked of all believers in verse 21.
